My commitments
- I follow safeguarding best practices in line with current UK guidance
- I maintain appropriate professional boundaries at all times
- I create safe, inclusive, and non-judgemental spaces for all participants
- I operate a clear confidentiality policy — with limits explained to every young person at the start of our work together
- If I believe a young person is at risk of harm, I will follow the appropriate safeguarding procedures, which may include sharing information with relevant authorities
- I regularly update my training and stay current with safeguarding guidance
Confidentiality
What young people share in sessions is treated as confidential. However, confidentiality has limits — if I become concerned that someone is at risk of serious harm, I have a duty to act. I explain this clearly at the start of every coaching relationship, so there are no surprises.
For parents and guardians
I welcome questions about my safeguarding approach. If you'd like to see my full DBS certificate, insurance details, or discuss how I keep your young person safe, please get in touch.
